These geocache series all started with a single geocache in the UK and have grown nationally in some instances internationally. The largest international geocache series is the Church Micro series which has over 11,000 geocaches. There are five main national (and international) series within the UK these are:
Church Micro
This national series is based on geocaches placed at current, interesting and accessible Christian Churches and ruins. The series was started by sadexploration with Church Micro 1…Earlswood (GC17878), Surrey in 2007. Since 2007 the series has grown across the whole UK and internationally to 15,654 caches.

Fine Pair
This national series is based on geocaches placed at or near to a location where a traditional K6 red telephone box is within 100 feet of a red post box. The series was started by wizardsmum with A Fine Pair #1 ~ Fittleworth (GC35ERD), West Sussex in 2011. Since 2011 the series has grown across the whole UK and internationally.

This national series is based on geocaches placed at or nearby to small footbridges. The series was started by Stanthews with Little Bridges #1 Holt (GC1QQE6), Wiltshire in 2009. Since 2009 the series has grown across the whole UK to 2451 caches.

This national series is based on geocaches placed at or nearby active train stations and non-active train stations as cache and dashes. The series was started by bikermel76 with The First Ever SideTracked – Evesham (GC15082), Worcestershire in 2007. Since 2007 the series has grown across the whole UK and internationally to 30 different counties and 4488 caches.
